The first debate of the presidential season between the GOP candidates drew a total audience of 1.76M viewers, 500,000 viewers less than what the Democratic debate drew.
Among the key news demo (adults 25-54), the debate drew 560,000, well below the 806,000 that watched the Democratic debate.
Regardless of the lower viewer total, the debate did give the network another win for the evening among adults 25-54 (431,000) to the 419,000 of Fox News Channel (FNC won the evening among total viewers).
