New Details on ‘Grey’s’ Spin-off April 18, 2007 4:09 pm

ABC has released a few details about the two-hour episode of Grey’s Anatomy that could be used to launch the ‘Grey’s’ spin-off, which is currently titled Private Practice.
The episode will air on Thursday, May 3 and it is called “The Other Side of This Life”. In the episode, Addison (Kate Walsh) will be taking a road trip to Santa Monica to visit old medical school friends. The episode though will not focus solely on that, as other elements will be sprinkled in, including Cristina trying on wedding dresses and Jane Doe suffering a setback that requires Derek to perform emergency surgery.
The Addison portion of the episode will feature Tim Daly (“The Nine”), Merrin Dungey (“Alias”), Taye Diggs (“Day Break”), Paul Adelstein (“Prison Break”), Amy Brenneman (“Judging Amy”) and Chris Lowell (“Veronica Mars”). All of which will be regulars in the spin-off.”The Other Side of This Life” will be written by Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes and directed by Michael Grossman.
