MyNetworkTV Sweeps Lineup Revealed April 13, 2007 11:15 am

In an effort to boost ratings for the struggling new network, MyNetworkTV execs have scheduled a May-sweeps period full of sex (lots of it), comedy specials and theatrical movies.
Highlights include a May 16 primetime twofer headlined by an hour-long documentary on Anna Nicole Smith titled Anna Nicole Smith: Centerfold Revisted followed by an hour-long segment on pop artist Britney Spears, titled Britney Spears: A Pop Idol Exposed.
The docs will be produced by NBC Universal’s Access Hollywood team.
Other events include the Hawaiian Tropic International Beauty Pageant and Ujena Bikini Jam on April 24, America’s Trashiest Weddings and Body Doubles: International Twins Search on May 1 and The Hooters Dream Girl Challenge from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET on May 8.
On the comedy front, MyNet has scheduled Night of a Million Laughs: Comics Unleashed (featuring comics Chris Rock, Chris Tucker and Martin Lawrence) and Eddie Murphy: 25th Anniversary of ‘Delirious’ for May 22.
And finally, the net has scheduled two movies: Chain Reaction on May 15 and Lethal Weapon 4 on May 17.
