Logos Revealed for 20th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation March 12, 2007 9:24 pm

Star Trek: The Next Generation turns 20 this year (September 28, 2007 to be exact), and with that landmark comes celebration.

Paramount has revealed two new logos to be used on Star Trek related sites and products to signify Anniversary of the hit Sci-Fi series.

The two logos follow below:

Interestingly enough, on the official StarTrek.com website, the article ends with the following sentence:

The second logo, the brighter oval-shaped one, will likely appear on DVDs later this year.

Does that mean there will be a re-release of the TNG DVD sets? The sets were re-released in the UK in a slimmer cases (and reduced prices) last year, perhaps Paramount will now introduce those sets (with the new logos) here in North America.

That last sentence is purely speculation on my part. Then again, the only other scenario would be to just throw stickers on all current sets that are in retail stores. Which is highly unlikely.
