According to The Hollywood Reporter a couple Grey’s Anatomy actors have closed deals for new contracts.
Under the new deals, Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) will reportedly be paid near $200,000 an episode, while co-stars James T. Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber) and Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey) will be paid around $125,000 per episode.
Fellow actors Justin Chambers (Alex Karev) and T.R. Knight (George O’Malley) are close to new pacts (at the $125,000 range).
The deals are retroactive, meaning they will be applied from the first episode of the third season onward.
Other lead actors on the show: Patrick Dempsey (Derick Shepherd), Sandra Oh (Christina Yang) and Katherine Heigl (Isobel “Izzie” Stevens) have not yet closed their deals.
It is unknown if Isaiah Washington (Preston Burke) will get a pay raise, or remain at his current salary level. All actors have long-term deals already in place (reportedly seven years) so renegotiation is not a given.
The site also reports that Kate Walsh (who will be the lead in the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff), received a new deal as well.
