Hoping to score some additional viewers, ABC has set a new schedule for Wednesday nights, introducing 3 new programs.
Beginning on April 11, Notes From the Underbelly will make its series premiere (a project originally slated to premiere last fall) at 9:30 p.m. ET. It will replace In Case of Emergency, which will have completed its initial order at point.
Then on May 30, ABC will be launching two additional series: The Next Best Thing: Who Is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator (which will have a special two-hour premiere from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. for that evening only) followed by Traveler at 10:00 p.m.
Finally on June 8th (Notes From the Underbelly will have completed its initial order) the network will return last year’s reality contest American Inventor and the Wednesday lineup will look like so:
8:00 — The Next Best Thing: Who Is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator
9:00 — American Inventor
10:00 — Traveler
From Variety:
“Traveler,” from Warner Bros. TV, revolves around two pals who are framed for domestic terrorism by a third. Charlie Craig, Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen exec produce. David Digilio created the series and serves as co-exec producer.
As for “Notes From the Underbelly,” laffer follows the exploits of a hip, young couple (Peter Cambor, Jennifer Westfeldt) who realize their lives are about to change now that she’s pregnant.
