Broadcast TV Ratings for Friday, March, 2, 2007 March 3, 2007 6:26 pm

Even though it ran an entire night of repeats, CBS still managed to come away with the win among total households and viewers and tied for first among adults 18-49.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 5.9/10 household rating and 9.12 million total viewers and was tied for first with NBC among adults 18-49 with a 2.5/8 rating.

  • Last Week:
    • 6.9/12 HH rating [#1]
    • 10.21M viewers [#1]
    • 2.7/8 A18-49 [#1]
  • CBS programmed repeats for the entire evening and each show did remarkably well compared to first-run episodes the week prior.  Both Ghost Whisperer and Close to Home drew adult 18-49 numbers even to last week.
  • 8:00 p.m.: Ghost Whisperer (5.9/11 HH rating, 9.00M viewers, 2.7/9 A18-49 rating).
  • 9:00 p.m.: Close to Home (6.5/11 HH rating, 9.81M viewers, 2.5/8 A18-49 rating).
  • 10:00 p.m.: Numb3rs (5.6/10 HH rating, 8.54M viewers, 2.2/7 A18-49 rating).

NBC followed in second place for the evening with a 5.5/10 household rating and 8.47 million total viewers but managed to tie for first place among adults 18-49 with a 2.5/8 rating.

  • 8:00 p.m.: 1 vs. 100 (6.2/11 HH rating, 9.82M viewers, 2.8/10 A18-49 rating) was the bright spot for the night for NBC, coming away as the evenings top rated show among total viewers and households as well as adults 18-49.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 5.8/10 to 6.2/11
      • Viewers – 9.00M to 9.82M
      • Adults 18-49 – 2.4/8 to 2.8/10
  • 9:00 p.m.: The recently renewed Las Vegas (5.3/9 HH rating, 8.17M viewers, 2.5/8 A18-49 rating) stayed even from the week prior tying for first among adults 18-49 for the hour, but failing to move past a repeat of Close to Home, having to settle for second place among total households and viewers.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 5.4/9 to 5.3/9
      • Viewers – 8.35M to 8.17M
      • Adults 18-49 – 2.5/7 to 2.5/8
  • 10:00 p.m.: Though third for the hour, a repeat of Law & Order (5.0/9 HH rating, 7.32M viewers, 2.1/6 A18-49 rating) proved the veteran drama is still a solid performer for the network in repeats.

ABC finished in third place for the evening with a 3.7/7 household rating, 5.56 million total viewers and a 1.9/6 rating among adults 18-49.

    • 6.07M viewers [#3]
    • 2.0/6 A18-49 rating [#3]
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Grey’s Anatomy (3.0/5 HH rating, 4.44M viewers, 1.4/5 A18-49 rating) dropped somewhat significantly from the week prior.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 3.8/7 to 3.0/5
      • Viewers – 5.52M to 4.44M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.8/6 to 1.4/5
  • 9:00 p.m.: An hour of Wife Swap (3.0/5 HH rating, 4.61M viewers, 1.9/6 A18-49 rating) held to its lead-ins audience, but took a dip week-to-week among households and total viewers.
    • Week-to-week numbers (vs. 20/20):
      • Households – 4.2/7 to 3.0/5
      • Viewers – 6.07M to 4.61M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.9/6 to 1.9/6
  • 10:00 p.m.: 20/20 (5.1/9 HH rating, 7.63M viewers, 2.5/8 A18-49 rating) was ABC’s only strong spot on the hour, coming in second place among total households and viewers and first place for the hour among adults 18-49.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 4.6/8 to 5.1/9
      • Viewers – 6.62M to 7.63M
      • Adults 18-49 – 2.2/7 to 2.5/8

The CW finished in fifth place with a 2.9/5 household rating, 4.76 million total viewers and a 1.6/5 rating among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:
    • 3.2/6 HH rating [#5]
    • 5.38M viewers [#5]
    • 1.8/5 A18-49 rating [#5]
  • 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.: WWE Smackdown (2.9/5 HH rating, 4.76M viewers, 1.6/5 A18-49 rating) was strong enough to push The CW ahead of Fox for fourth place for the second week in a row.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 3.2/6 to 2.9/5
      • Viewers – 5.38M to 4.76M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.8/5 to 1.6/5

Fox finished in fifth place for the evening with a 2.7/5 household rating and 3.93 million total viewers and tied for fourth among adults 18-49 with a 1.3/4 rating.

    • 3.0/5 HH rating [#4]
    • 4.44M viewers [#4]
    • 1.8/6 A18-49 rating [#4]
  • 8:00 p.m.: Though it moved Fox to fifth place for the second week in a row, the 37th Annual NAACP Awards (2.7/5 HH rating, 3.93M viewers, 1.3/4 A18-49 rating) were actually up slightly across the board (830,000 viewers, 17% among households and 8% among adults 18-49).
    • Year-to-year numbers (3/3/2006):
      • Households – 2.3/4 to 2.7/5
      • Viewers – 3.10M to 3.93M
      • Adults 18-49 – 1.2/3 to 1.3/4
