Ed Helms, who portrays the character Andy Bernard on the NBC hit The Office has been made a permanent cast member of the series.
Helm’s character was transferred from a downsized branch of the show’s fictional paper company to the show’s regular branch, Scranton.
There was some question as to what would happen to the character, after he had a meltdown resulting from a prank that was pulled on him in the episode “The Return”, but it was revealed online that his character was told to attend anger-management classes.
Helms previous TV work was as a correspondent for The Daily Show from 2002-06.
