TNT and TBS Get Cable Rights to “Pursuit of Happyness” February 1, 2007 10:00 am

TNT and TBS will be paying up to $30 million for the first window of broadcast for the Will Smith helmed film Pursuit of Happynes.
The final price tag will be determined based on the final domestic box office gross of the movie. The package also includes the films Open Season and The Holiday.
‘Happyness‘ will premiere on TNT in April 2009 as part of the four-year deal. Open Season will be available January 2009 with The Holiday available the following month.
The Holiday will also be shown by Lifetime (which paid $1.5 million) for two seperate one-year windows.
