“The Greg Behrendt Show” Canceled January 25, 2007 11:00 am

Sony has canceled syndicated talker The Greg Behrendt Show due to low ratings as it only managed to pull a 0.8 household rating, 880,000 viewers.

There was talk of Sony trying to get the 10 Fox O&O (Owned & Operated) MyNetworkTV stations to pick up the show, but a deal could not be worked out in time.

The staff on the show was informed of the decision Wednesday.

Dear Greg Beherendt show family,
I love the show!!!, The best ever! I almost have car accidents everyday trying to get home from work to watch it. I have a problem that I want only Greg Beherendt to help me with. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery in September 2004, and all my life have been overweight. I have lost a total of 125 lbs. which to most people, another person; although, I have lost the weight and people tell me I look great, I still feel like I am still 355lbs mentallly, along with other people who are overweight, expecially when I look in the mirror and see all the scared marks from previous skin conditions and the aufawl hanging skin left from the weight-loss. When I lost most of the weight, but has still not reached my goal weight of 180lbs, why did I not loose lthe mental weight as well? Why won’t it go away? Why do I still feel the same in the mind, until I pass a mirror as a reminder? Greg, please help me loose the mental part of being overweight along with that awful person lost in “2004”.

What the fck!!?? Why is the show being canceled ?? My boyfriend and I love the shows.its unique and amazing unlike maury, sprnger and all those trailer trash shows. Why do networks do this?? Cancel shows that actually enlighten the viewer. Or are the networks turning into cheap trash t.v?? Greg, you are great, I have learned so much from the show, I have stopped watching cable to just watch the show. Sony is stupid. Only white trash and ghetto people watch those shows that all they do is curse and give a bad example. I will object as much as I can and make sure people know how stupid sony is.

OMG! WHY??? I just dont get it I LOVED the Greg B show!! it was entertaning, fun, and unpredictable, He seemed like he loved what he did and I am soooooooo bummed out that he is canceled. i was just watching maury the only other show i watch on that crappy station and i checked the guide on the tv and greg was not listed….so I got on the comp and found out thta the show is gone. i don’t understand why they would leave a STUPID azz show like Springer before an informative show like greg he had so much great advice for people and i also loed the way he always went out of his way to help people out in any way he could. GREG I WILL MISS YOU. PS hopefully they will change they’re minds huh? ughhhhhh that was by far my fave show!!!! <3 ya GREG

9. Tony Taillon - September 11, 2007 10:17 pm

12. Anne - September 17, 2007 8:03 am

i loved gregs show. I faithfully watched it everday and did nothing until it was over.I can not believe that it is cancelled. The same time slot is showing a crossword game. i cant believe that it will last. There is so much garbage in tv liks jerry springer and the trailer park boys and they cancel greg!!!! Maybe the network will realize the grave mistake and pick up the show again. Hope so.Miss it a lot!

13. Rebecca - September 19, 2007 4:17 pm

I loved the Greg Behrendt Show. He was funny, but also serious when appropriate. I loved his makeovers and makeunders. His comments at the end of the hour always seemed to be genuine, sincere, and appropriate. I don’t usually watch talk shows, but the Greg Behrendt Show was different. I will miss the show, as will a number of my friends. I don’t care what other people say…………Greg, your show was great.

14. Florence Moseley - September 21, 2007 1:06 pm

This really burns me up !! Finally, a great person and sensible work, and he is cancelled ! I just don’t understand this thinking….. I hope it will be reconsidered and Greg Behrendt is given his show back. For a change, LISTEN to the people who care.

15. Claude Sauve - September 24, 2007 9:58 am

Why is it every time a good show is on TV it always gets pulled example Tour of duty I’m a male and I would take Greg over the obnoxious Oprah any day of the week. This guy wasn’t 100% natural, 0 % phoniness unlike that boring bald headed Dr. Pill is.

If Oprah and Dr.Pill can have a show any one can and don’t tell me Tara Banks is a better show then Greg, the only reason she wasn’t pulled is because she is Black. The network didn’t want to fear having the cry racist crowd knocking of the networks door

16. lesley - October 5, 2007 10:43 am

I’m a little slow on the up-take since I’m not a huge tv hound, but I am a bit bewildered like the others. Please don’t tell me that new white doctor bore gets to keep his useless program? If so, rest-assured, Greg, how clearly misguided are the people steering the cart! I haven’t sent this sort of mail since my older sister forwarded my secret fan/love letters to Ray Davies of the Kinks back in like 1982. I just had to give a shout that you done good, Greg. Blessings for your future!

17. ihategregberhendt - October 8, 2007 1:06 pm

I hated that show. I really did. Good riddens!

18. Missing Greg Behrendt - October 12, 2007 2:20 pm

I have been wondering what happened to his show and had a feeling it was cancelled. Too bad. I liked it…it was different. Too bad he was forced to “dress better.” That just wasn’t him.

The show (Steve Wilco) that replaced his time slot is awful. They should get rid of him.

19. Mini - October 18, 2007 11:25 am

I was wondering why the Gregbrehndt T.V show was cancelled?? I kept flipping channels thinking it must have moved to another channel. Its now iam realizing that these dumbos cancelled a good show. I guess trashy and meaningless and absolutely ZERO to the point shows like “Jerry Springer Shows” stays on. I wonder if anyone gets anything out of these kinda moronic shows. Are viewers really wired wrong? Crazy!!
Dear Greg..when you first began doing the show i didnt like it..but i then I started enjoying it very very much..and i made sure i saw it every single day…and geez !!! these people cancel your show…
Man! you did a good and awesome job. People may not realize how you helped others and how you had to change yourself to do that..keep it up..dude!!I miss the show so badly..

20. Kathy - November 4, 2007 2:12 pm

I’ve been wondering why Greg hasnt shown up on my DVR lately and just found out the show has been cancelled. He was the only talk show host around that actually helped people insead of just exploiting their stories. I felt that guests on the show were at a better place after being on the show then when they arrived. It is very unfortunate.

21. Danielle - November 28, 2007 3:31 pm

I miss the show. Today I was watching the disgusting Steve Wilkos show with all his anger and lack of humanity. He needs a psych. degree or two. He doesn’t understand his guests, or the human mind at all. Berating people on tv makes me sick. Oh Greg, where are you?!!

22. chelsie - December 4, 2007 6:38 pm

This is the only show that made our family happy.
Why di dyou cancel it?!
Thats so dumb!!!

25. Missy - January 9, 2008 11:50 am

I was wondering last night what happened to that show I liked to watch on T.V. I had a very hard time trying to find someone descent to date and at 38 still haven’t found someone worth keeping. Greg gives females a boost of self confidence that some women just don’t have about the opposite sex. I would like to see his show on T.V. again.

26. tara - May 4, 2008 10:53 pm

I think it was a bad move to cancel the Greg B show! He had so many good points of view and really did help others. Whoever took it off the air because of “low ratings” did NOT give it a chance. As you can see by everyone who posted a message we ALL miss that show and I think its best that you reconsider your decison. With all the stupid talk shows on TV, the one that actually was funny yet informative you decide to take off the air? Maybe you are the guys that need a little help….ha!

27. Julia - May 4, 2008 10:57 pm

That was the best show! I agree with Tara, you did not give it a chance at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put it back on the air! We miss you GREG!

28. elizabeth - October 15, 2008 4:30 pm

29. pat - October 15, 2008 11:40 pm
