Al Gough, co-writer of the next installment in the Mummy franchise let slip a few more details pretaining to Mummy 3.
Gough told Sci Fi Wire the basic outline of the story: “We figured out a really good family story with Rick and Evie, and [their son] Alex is now grown up. So it’s really interesting.”
Gough is confident stars Brendan Fraser (Rick) and Rachel Weisz (Evie), whom are in negotiations to return, will do so, saying they will be satisfied with the script.
Director Rob Cohen has said he’s excited to begin work, and if all goes well shooting will begin this summer for a release during the summer of 2008.
