From the CW Press Release:
The CW announced its new reality series “Crowned,” an eight-episode competition that features multiple mother-daughter teams working together as pairs to win a beauty pageant competition, it was announced today by Dawn Ostroff, President, Entertainment, The CW during the network’s Winter Press Tour session at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California.
“Our new series ‘Crowned’ takes a close look at one of the most emotional and volatile of all relationships — mothers and daughters — in a highly competitive and stressful situation,” said Ostroff. “Each team’s mother and daughter will have to work hard not to let the other down in order to win the ultimate beauty pageant show in the finale.”
In the end, one mother-daughter team will be “crowned” the winner and will receive a valuable prize package, including a $100,000 cash award, representation to appear at charity events across the country, and, of course, a fabulous pair of tiaras.
