The nominations for the 79th annual Academy Awards will be announced this coming Tuesday, January 23, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) president Sid Ganis and Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek (2002 Best Actress – Frida).
10 of 24 categories will be announced 5:30 a.m. ET at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
The Academy Awards will be presented live on ABC February 25, 2007 at the Kodak Theater.
ABC’s coverage of the ceremony will begin with a half-hour red carpets arrival special at 8:00 p.m., followed by the Oscars (hosted by Ellen DeGeneres) at 8:30 p.m.
