Fox has canceled the low-rated drama series Past Life after four poorly received episodes — both by critics and viewers — including last night’s horrible 1.1 preliminary rating among adults 18-49.

20th Century Fox has temporarily shut down production on 24 so that Kiefer Sutherland can undergo surgery related to a ruptured cyst near his kidney. Production is expected to resume in a week:

Last night’s telecast of the NFL NFC Championship Game between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings was watched by 57.9 million viewers, according to time-zone adjusted fast affiliate numbers. The game was the 2nd biggest NFC Championship game ever, only below the 68.7M that tuned in for the Cowboys/49ers back in 1982.
