Chef Irvine Returning to Dinner: Impossible

robertirvine-112108Chef Robert Irvine, who was let go from the Food Network series Dinner: Impossible over news that he exaggerated details in his resume, has been re-hired by the network to return to the hit show, replacing his replacement Iron Chef Michael Symon.  Production on six new episodes starring Irvine will begin this month and will air in March 2009.

“Our audience has continued to demonstrate its interest in and support for Robert,” Welch said. “He has taken responsibility and made a conscious effort to clear the air, rebuild the relationship with Food Network and apologize for the earlier inaccuracies.”

“I am very excited to continue taping more episodes of ‘Dinner: Impossible’,” Irvine said in a written statement. “I am thrilled to further my relationship with the network and embark on more challenging episodes of this popular series.”

    I am so happy that Robert Irvine is back, nothing against the other Chef, but the show was not the same with Chef Irvine. I really hoped that the Food network came back to their senses, and it's a real pleasure watching Chef Irvine deal with all of the cooking challenges. Some times in life we have to over stimulate our backgrounds just to get a foot in the door, as long as no one got hurt or was put out by this incident, lets move forward and onward to several successful seasons of Dinner Impossible. Keep up the excellent work Chef Irvine.

    I’m a fan of Robert Irvine and will continue to watch the show with him leading the way. I was disappointed when one day I turned the channel to my favorite show and learn that Robert was removed. I will be thrilled to meet him as he demonstrates ample knowledge of his profession and is able to manage stress in difficult tasks. I am an amateur chef wanabe and find good ideas watching dinner impossible...my favorite!

    I never saw Michael Symon do anything that was close to the difficulty and quality of the challenges that Robert Irvine made it through. I am thrilled that he will be returning to the show and hope to see him in other shows as well.

    I only watched it one time when the OTHER one was on, Robert is th only host of dinner impossible, period. glad to see food network came to their senses.

    I prefer Chef Irvine for Dinner Impossible...although Iron Chef Symon was good, I do prefer Robert Irvine. People do make mistakes, and I am sure Chef Irvine regrets about "padding" his resume.

    The fact of the matter is, that he did a great job creating food that people loved under different types of "stressful" situations. He deserves a second chance!!

    I am glad to see him back on The Food Network doing Dinner Impossible. I enjoy hearing his accent, and I like the fact that he takes pride in serving the best to people in his challenges!
