Broadcast TV Ratings for Tuesday, March 18, 2008

ABC’s Dancing With the Stars went up against Fox’s American Idol, with AI, predictably, coming out on top.

The series premiere of Miss Guided on ABC tuned in mixed results. It’s overall audience was fairly solid (just 10,000 viewers shy of 10 million), but it’s retention numbers from its Dancing With the Stars lead-in could have been much better (60% among viewers and 72% among adults 18-49).

Elsehwere on the evening The Biggest Loser on NBC held steady in the face of the increased competition and The CW’s One Tree Hill rebounded nicely from last week’s poor showing, growing by 17% among viewers and 27% among adults 18-49.

Fox finished in first place for the evening with a 15.1/23 household rating/share, 27.00 million viewers and a 10.3/25 rating/share among adults 18-49.
