The final rating for first-run episodes that aired this evening will be reported the following week. So for example, the final rating for tonights episode of “Shrek the Halls” will be reported in next weeks report for Wednesday, December 5, 2007.

I am trying to determine the ratings order of the top morning shows such as Good Morning America, Today, etc. Where might I be able to locate that information?

Hi Mary. There are several sources for morning news ratings. One of the best ones out there is TVNewser (through mediabistro.com). You can keep your eyes on this page for updates.

Here are the ratings for the most recent week (November 12):

Total viewers: NBC: 5,709,000 / ABC: 5,070,000 / CBS: 2,876,000
Households: NBC: 4.3/15 / ABC: 3.9/13 / CBS: 2.3/8
25-54 demo: NBC: 2.2/15 / ABC: 1.8/13 / CBS: 1.0/8

NBC = The Today Show
ABC = Good Morning America
CBS = The Early Show

Hope that helps. :)
