FOX holds off its competition, including a weak game 1 for the NBA Finals. So You Think You Can Dance? was the #1 program for the evening for the second day in a row. NBA Finals game 1 was off by double-digits (as high as 31% among A18-49) from last year’s game 1. In other debut news, Fast Cars and Superstars got off to a slow start.

FOX takes the evening among households, viewers and adults 18-49 thanks to another solid outing for So You Think You Can Dance?, which grew by total audience from last week’s episode. It was the evening’s top draw among households, viewers and adults 18-49. Positive results for second week of ‘Next Best Thing’, but weakened second season premiere for American Inventor.

NBC takes the evening thanks to a strong season premiere from America’s Got Talent. ALMA Awards well down from last year.

CBS takes the evening among households and viewers thanks to strong showings from its comedy and crime offerings, while FOX comes out on top among adults 18-49 thanks to the season two premiere of Hell’s Kitchen, which debuted ahead of last year’s premiere. Only so-so ratings for series debut of Creature Comforts. NHL Stanley Cup still weak.

ABC took first place for the week among households and viewers, while FOX takes first place for the week among adults 18-49. ABC and The CW were the only networks to gain from last year’s time frame (the later based on an average of the two former networks–UPN and The CW). NBC was down the most, off by more than 25% across the board.

FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance? returns a little down from its last season premiere, but is strong enough to give the network the win among adults 18-49. CBS though gets great mileage out of repeats, to win the night overall among households and viewers. A CSI repeat was the nights highest rated and most watched program.

Though down by a significant margin year-to-year, ‘Idol’ still managed to steamroll its competition, leading FOX to a first place finish for the evening. Solid, though also down, finale for Lost pushes ABC ahead of CBS’s repeat filled lineup.

With American Idol weakened, ABC’s Dancing With the Stars finale wins the evening among households and viewers, as does ABC. FOX still wins the night among adults 18-49. Weak debut for On the Lot, below average season finales for Law & Order: SVU, NCIS and Veronica Mars.

Dancing With the Stars and the ‘Bachelor’ season finale lead ABC to a ratings win for the evening across the board. ‘Dancing’ was the night’s top rated and most watched show, while Heroes finished its freshman year on a strong note as it was the night’s most watched program among adults 18-49. 24 down from last year’s finale.

FOX expectedly wins the evening. Weak finale numbers for NBC shows, strong finale for The CW’s America’s Next Top Model, though its lead-out (One Tree Hill) performed poorly in terms of retention.

CBS, ABC and FOX split ownership for first place, with CBS taking households, ABC taking viewers and FOX taking adults 18-49. Year-to-year, ABC was the only network to be consistently up across the board. The CW was basically even year-to-year, with a slight increase among viewers, while NBC was off the most from last year.
