After last year’s departure of Jorja Fox from the show, another actor is leaving the hit CBS procedural CSI. TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that Gary Dourdan, who plays Warrick Brown on the show, is leaving a show.  A precise time table for the exit hasn’t been announced.  Dourdan’s contract is up at the end of next month.

Yet another actor has been cast in the upcoming George W. Bush biopic W., this time it’s former press secretary Ari Fleischer.  MTV is reporting that comedian Rob Corddry (The Daily Show) has been cast in the role.  Given all the attention the film has received over the past few days, it’s no surprise that an early script has been leaked.  Dated October 12, 2007 (and referred to as Bush at that point) you can read Slate’s opinion of the script hereW. will hit theaters sometime in 2009.

The cast for Oliver Stone’s sure to be controversial biopic W. continues to fill out.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, British actress Thandie Newton has signed on to portray Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, while Ion Gruffudd is in final negotiations to star as former British prime minister Tony Blair.  In related news, THR sent forwarded the script to four Bush biographers.  Check out the highlights after the jump.

LatinoReview is reporting that Brendan Fraser has booked the role of Gung Ho in Stephen Sommers’ upcoming big screen live-action adaptation of G.I. Joe.  The part is just a one scene cameo. The site is also reporting that an offer has been made to The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) for the role of Hector Delgado, aka Shipwreck. G.I. Joe hits theaters on August 7, 2009.

Online is reporting that Sarah Wayne Callies is coming back as Sara Tancredi for the fourth season of Fox’s Prison Break as a series regularAs any Prison Break would know, this casting decision means what we were led to believe last season didn’t actually happen (I’m being vague here just in case anyone doesn’t want to be spoiled).  Details after the jump.

Jule Benz has been cast to star in Saw V, the latest installment in the horror franchise.  The fifth film, to be directed by David Hackl, began production two weeks ago and will open in theaters on October 24th. [Variety]

Elizabeth Banks is in final negotiations to portray Laura Bush in Oliver Stone’s upcoming George W. Bush biopic W, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Josh Brolin is already on board to play Bush in the film.   In a separate article, Entertainment Weekly reported on who are in talks to play George Bush Sr. and Colin Powell, as well as who Stone is looking to portray Vice President Dick Cheny.  Continue reading for the details. Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming remake to Friday the 13th, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be produced by Michael Bay’s production arm Platinum Dunes for New Line and Paramount. Keeping with tradition, a release is planned for Friday, February 13, 2009.

Warner Bros. has announced the voice cast for the upcoming animated original movie Batman Gotham Knight, the third release in the DC Universe Animated Original Movie series from DC Comics. Kevin Conroy returns for the title role in the film, which will be released on July 8, 2008 on DVD, Special Edition 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Def.

Capcom today confirmed the main cast for its upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, based on the popular video game series.  The story revolves around Chun-Li, who will be portrayed by Kristen Kreuk (Smallville).  Michael Clark Duncan, Neal McDounough, and taboo of Black Eye Peas round out the cast.  Continue reading for the press release.

Director Sam Raimi is set to revive the “Jack Ryan” franchise, taking on the Tom Clancy character after he finishes his upcoming horror film Drag Me To Hell.  Raimi would develop and direct a series of films for Paramount, which hopes to see the first film released in 2010. [Variety]

The CW has given an eight-episode order to 13, a nonscripted horror-themed series from director Sam Raimi and reality veteran Jay Bienstock. The series will premiere sometime this summer.

Christian Slater is close to coming to primetime.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is close to handing out a series order to an untitled drama from writer-producer Jason Smilovic, which would star Christian Slater.  It would be the actor’s first TV series.

An announcement was made last year (article here) that Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg would be directing a trilogy based off the popular comic book series The Adventures of TinTin, but a specific lineup was never announced.

Now, Andy Serkis, who will play Captain Haddock in the series, revealed in an interview with IndieLondon that Spielberg will be directing the first film.

Jason Statham is reprising his role as mercenary driver/delivery man Frank in Transporter 3, the next installment in the franchise.  The actor will re-team with co-star Francois Berleand.  However, Variety notes that director Louis Leterrier (who directed the first two films) will not be helming this installment.  Instead, Olivier Megaton (Exit, The Red Siren) will direct.

Lost actor Dominic Monaghan has joined the cast of the X-Men spin-off X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  The actor will play Barnell in the prequel.  Variety also reports that Daniel Henney has been cast to portray Agent Zero in the film.
