Hot on the heels of yesterday’s casting announcement of Ayelet Zurer in Angels and Demons, THR is now reporting that Ewan McGregor has also been cast in the upcoming The Da Vinci Code prequel. Shooting is scheduled to begin on the film this June. Directed by Ron Howard, and co-starring Tom Hanks and Ayelet Zurer, Angels and Demons is scheduled to hit theaters in the summer of 2009.

Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer has landed the female lead role opposite Tom Hanks in Ron Howard’s The Da Vinci Code prequel, Angels and Demons, according to EW. The actress was last seen in Steven Spielberg’s Munich. Angels and Demons is set to hit theaters on May 15, 2009.

Despite being delayed because of the WGA strike, the New York Post is reporting that Naomi Watts has secured a role oppostie Tom Hanks in the ‘Da Vinci Code’ prequel Angels and Demons.
