Samuel Bayer has been tapped by Platinum Dunes to direct the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Bayer’s background is that of a music video director, responsible for directing Nirvana’s award-winning Smells Like Teen Spirit. The film is being scripted by Wesley Strick (Arachnophobia).
