The Dark Knight Sells 3 Million Units on DVD and Blu-ray December 11, 2008 6:06 pm

In its first day of release this past Tuesday, thedarkknightWarner Bros’ The Dark Knight sold 3 million copies on DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Canada and the UK. 600,000 of those copies were Blu-ray, the most ever for the format, beating the record previously held by Marvel/Paramount’s Iron Man, which sold 260,000 Blu-ray discs.  That disc went on to sell 500,000 in its first week.  The Dark Knight could be on pace to sell 1 million copies on Blu-ray by week’s end.

No doubt that such huge figures were coming for The Dark Knight..
The movie is simply superb and n yes the DVD was something that mnay people including me have been waiting for ..
I wont be surprised if the figures keep shooting up.I guess with these numbers where is the production house headed to..!!
