Rumor: Summit Wants Chris Weitz to Direct Twilight Sequels New Moon and Eclipse December 9, 2008 8:10 pm

Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that Summit Entertainment has offered Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) the job to direct the Twilight sequel, New Moon. Although she doesn’t have official confirmation, Finke reports through a source that Weitz is “still considering” the offer to direct New Moon and possibly Eclipse also if the two films are made back-to-back.
