You know those red-band trailers that you have to sometimes input your information just to view? Well, they’re coming to the nation’s largest theater chain, Regal Entertainment Group.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the theater chain has decided to permit the restricted in its multiplexes.
Red-band trailers were once routinely used, but theaters dropped them after a 2000 FTC report criticizing the entertainment industry for marketing violent entertainment to children.
The decision by Regal will likely have a trickle effect to other major chains.
