The struggling CW Network has laid off 25-30 employees as part of a restructuring that included the elimination of its comedy department.
The network has been hit hard by the writers strike, and its comedy lineup has suffered. The network renewed only one show from the genre: Everybody Hates Chris, which is also struggling in the ratings.
