Vil Kilmer will now be voicing KITT in the upcoming NBC movie Knight Rider, replacing Will Arnett.

Arnett, who already completed his part in the movie (which is slated to premiere in NBC in less than two weeks), was replaced not because of the work of his performance, but because of an odd contractual conflict of interest.

“I was very excited at the prospect of playing the part of KITT in the new ‘Knight Rider’ movie,” Arnett said. “However, because of a long relationship with General Motors as the voice of GMC Trucks, I had to respectfully withdraw from the project.”
