Disney Planning for “National Treasure” 3 and 4? February 1, 2008 6:59 pm

With over $365 million worldwide, Disney has another hits on their hands with National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Well, yesterday Disney registered the domain names NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com, so it seems like the studio is at least looking towards the possibility of more films in the franchise.
Jim Hill, of Jim Hill Media, even has what could be the plot description of the third film:
“[National Treasure 3] would supposedly send the Gates family off to Easter Island and beyond in search of Atlantis. More importantly, the pure, clean power source that was supposedly lost forever when this ancient civilization sank beneath the sea. Which — were it to be harnessed today — would immediately put an end to global warming. Not to mention making gas & oil obsolete.”

I AM SUCH A FAN OF THIS FRANCHISE AND I AM EXCITED OVER THE THIRD AND FOURTH MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOWEVER, IF WHAT THEY R SAYING IS TRUE THAT IT IS GOING TO B ABOUT ATLANTIS, WOULD IT STILL BE CONSIDERED “NATIONAL” TREASURE CAUSE NATIONAL MEANS OUR COUNTRY, AND ATLANTIS DOESN’T HAVE THAT MUCH TO DO WITH OUR COUNTRY’S HISTORY? I HOPE IT DOESN’T GET 2 FAR FETCHED AND SAME WITH THE 4TH BUT I STILL HAVE FAITH IN THE FRANCHISE!
