Despite being delayed because of the WGA strike, the New York Post is reporting that Naomi Watts has secured a role oppostie Tom Hanks in the ‘Da Vinci Code’ prequel Angels and Demons.
As noted, production on the film has hit a snag and moved back “at least until February”, but the release date of spring 2009 remains unchanged.
Reps of Watts did not make any comment on the casting news.
