Fox’s midseason comedy, The Return of Jezebel James, has had its episode order cut from 13 episodes to seven, including the pilot.

From creator/executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino, the series stars Parker Posey.

“We have always planned to launch ‘The Return of Jezebel James’ in midseason, and seven episodes are all we need to allow us to program the series through the current broadcast season,” Fox said Friday. “ We are big fans of Amy Sherman-Palladino, Dan Palladino and the extremely talented cast and are looking forward to airing the show.”

The series also stars Dianne Wiest, Ron McLarty, Michael Arden and Scott Cohen.

‘Jezebel James’ is one of two midseason comedies Fox has in development.  The other is Unhitched, which currently has a six-episode order.
