Another actor has been added to the cast of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek. John Cho (‘Harold & Kumar‘) has been cast as the character of Sulu, the USS Enterprise’s helmsman.
The casting news was scooped by TrekMovie.com, and it’s now been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
This leaves the characters of James T. Kirk (Chris Pine has been offered the role), Christopher Pike, Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy and Kirk’s parents as the only remaining lead roles yet to be cast.
Considering production begins on the film this coming November, the casting announcement for Kirk (and the other roles) is likely very close.

My friend, Erich “Mancow” Muller, host of Freedom Radio Network’s The Mancow Show (a.k.a., “Mancow’s Morning Madness”), called at 6:25 a.m. today and recommended that I follow up my Don’t Taze Me, Bro!™ line of merchandise with a new line to coincide with the news that a new Star Trek movie is in the works.
Since 8 to 10 million listeners in 30 radio markets were listening to my live-on-air conversation with Mancow, I decided to take him up on his suggestion. Thus was born Mancow’s idea: Don’t Phaze Me, Bro!™.
