USA Network Adds ‘Smoking’ Spin-off October 8, 2007 3:42 pm

USA Network has greenlit a spinoff TV series based off of the 2006 feature film Thank you for Smoking.
The project was originally expected to air on NBC (read related article here). The script for the show will be written by James Dodson, and it will be produced by David Sacks, who oversaw the original feature.
Plans are for the TV version to pick up where the original film left off.
“He’ll live somewhere between the morally ambiguous character of the movie and Robin Hood,” said USA programming chief Jeff Wachtel.
