NBC Picks Up “Knight Rider” Remake September 27, 2007 10:04 pm

NBC has announced that they’ve commissioned work to begin on a two-hour Knight Rider TV movie. The movie would serve as a backdoor pilot that if successful could be turned into a new Knight Rider television series.
Doug Liman has been taped to produce the movie, which could be turned into a television series ready to premiere as early as fall 2008.
The script is being written by Dave Andron (Raines) who will also serve as a producer alongside executive producers Liman and Dave Bartis (The O.C. and Heist).
Knight Rider originally aired on NBC from 1982 until 1986, with David Hasselhoff as the lead.
