god! thanks for great news!! i`ll beeeee watching this page :)
No problem, Edward.
Quick thoughts from me:
Really enjoyed the opening segment, and Seacrest has done pretty well thus far. No real surprises yet. Overall, a pretty entertaining program I’d say.
Primetime Suspect: The Final Act? Primetime?
Typing mistake on my part. Fixed now.
So far so good with Ryan Seacrest as this year’s host! I’m glad that it is NOT Ellen Degeneres!! Helen Mirren has had a great year this year winning the Oscar, Golden Globe, and now an Emmy to her credit. She’s an outstanding actress even tho she’s from England. Will get a DVD of her movie “The Queen” so that I can watch it. Was hoping to see “Path to 9/11” win an Emmy Award tonite. We all must still remember that date in history, and remember what we all went thru and the 3,000 lives that were lost. We just gone thru the 6th anniversary of 9/11/2001, and I hope that everyone remembered! Documentaries like “Path to 9/11” should be reminders of that horrible day so that we can work together to make sure that these terrorists DO NOT come back the US to do more damage and kill more people. Waiting for the TV drama awards to come up; got a couple of favorites nominated in that catogory. Have fun!!
Chari Mercier :)
St. Pete, FL
Lead Actor in a Comedy was certainly surprising. Didn’t expect Gervais to come away with that win.
Nice to see Field win for her work in Brothers & Sisters, though I’m curious to find out what she said that caused the censors to kick in…
Ugly Betty in the comedy category
We’ll see, Wayne.
Another surprise in Spader winning Lead Actor in a Drama. Though, well-deserved. He’s great in that role.
And another surprise in the win for “30 Rock”. Now lets see if that improves the shows low ratings.
And with The Sopranos taking the final award of the night for Best Drama, it’s a wrap.

[…] 8:00-11:00 p.m.: That brings us to the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards (8.5/14 HH rating/share, 12.89M viewers, 4.3/11 A18-49 rating/share), which as I mentioned in the opening, was down quite a bit from the year prior. Sure it still led Fox for the evening among households and viewers, but with declines of 3.29 million (-20% among viewers), 20% among households and 17% among adults 18-49, the victory is bittersweet. As to the show itself, reaction seems to be either negative or so-so, while I personally thought it was a very nicely produced telecast. Some of the wins were a bit surprising, with three notable ones in Spader taking best actor in a drama, Gervais best actor in a comedy and the low-rated, but highly enjoyable/funny 3o Rock taking the Emmy for best comedy. By the way, you can check out a complete list of winners right here. […]
