“Sex and the City” Film Gets a Release Date September 14, 2007 3:54 pm

The recently announced Sex and the City movie has gotten a release date. The film will be released on May 30, 2008.
It’s safe to say that New Line has a lot of confidence in the box office possibilites of the film, given the choice of the date. It’ll be going up against the Eddie Murphy Sci-Fi Comedy Starship Dave and the Judd Apatow produced/written comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall (which stars Kristen Bell in the title role).
We’ve also learned that news that Jennifer Hudson will be making an appearance in the film as Carrie’s assistant.
