CBS is close to picking up the LL Cool-J starring drama series The Man, intending to premiere the show at midseason. Through sources, The Hollywood Reporter is relaying that the order would be for six episodes.
The Man is from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation creator Anthony Zuiker. It was shot as a pilot during last season’s development cycle, but didn’t make the cut for May.In the series, LL Cool J stars as an undercover Los Angeles cop who takes care of an orphaned boy. The site adds that the series would be reworked. A new pilot is expected to be shot by the end of the year.
