Damon Says He’s NOT Playing Kirk in “Star Trek XI” July 21, 2007 4:49 pm

In an exclusive chat with IGN, Matt Damon told the site that he’s not playing Kirk in Star Trek XI and went on to say that JJ Abrams is looking for an actor in his 20s to play Kirk in the film.
But Damon wouldn’t be adverse to playing the role of the character if the opportunity would arise in the future.

We should be getting some more news, likely casting and perhaps a name, for the film at the upcoming Comic-Con event which kicks off this Thursday (July 26).
