Speaking with The Star Ledger, Christian Bale revealed that the script for The Dark Knight leaves open the possibility for a third film.

Here is the quote from the interview:

“The script leaves room for a very interesting follow-up, too… I think we could take it somewhere else.”

The Dark Knight swoops its way into theaters on July 18, 2008.
