ShockTillYouDrop.com is reporting that director Russell Mulcahy (Resident Evil: Extinction) has been chosen to direct Universal Pictures’s The Scorpion King 2”.
Fans may remember that the first film was a prequel to the studio’s Mummy franchise. It opened in 2002 and did solid business, grossing $91.05 million domestically and another $73.95 million overseas ($165 million total).
