In an interview with Home Media Magazine, Todd McFarlane spoke briefly about his plans to create a new Spawn film.

McFarlane is currently working on a script for a new Spawn movie which he will be financing himself. The new film will be unrelated to New Line’s 1997 adaption: “I can make a spooky, supsenseful thriller that will scare the crap out of you,” McFarlane said.

I have my doubts. McFarlane’s sense of self-worth is still overinflated, a by-product of the early 90s. How much experience does he have as a director and producer? Any? How much experience does he have as a writer of GOOD material that withstands criticism? Pretty much none. He should stick to comic book art (which he hasn’t even been a part of in years) and designing/marketing action figures. I think he’s in way over his head on this one.

D.Peace I think you should have a little more faith in Todd Macfarlane as a director, fair enough he only majors in comics and models (he hasnt been part of comic art for years because think about it mate he owns a multi million dollar company with several trademarks , do you ? NO! so step when you know what you are talking about , i think the spawn animated series was testament enough to his capabilities as a writer, as a director his talents still remain to be seen

I agree with Grim. The suspense he put into the animated series was great and the writing in his comics has stopped being cliche since around the late 90s early 00s area. and the he hasn’t done art in years remark then maybe you haven’t seen the stuff he did for the WoW TCG.

Is Elendril the only card McFarlane did?
