Star Wars seems to be all the rage this year especially when it comes to animation. With the folks at Robot Chicken incorporating the franchise into one of their episodes, now comes word from Variety that the creators of Family Guy have gotten the go-ahead by Lucasfilm to start next season with a Star Wars spoof.
According to Variety, “Lucasfilm has blessed the event, which will have the Griffin family acting out all the key scenes and narrative from “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope,” the first installment of the franchise. “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane is a major “Star Wars” fan and was personally involved in getting Lucasfilm on board, an exec from 20th Century Fox TV said. ”
