Mentioned on this past Wednesday’s “Results” show, FOX has announced they will be launching a spin-off from the ‘Idol’ juggernaut focusing on a search for a band.
The Search for the Next Great American Band does not yet have a premiere date, but it’s said to follow the ‘Idol’ style which has been so successful for the network. The battle of the bands show will have three bands competiting for a record contract in the final episode.
This is the second attemped from American Idol spin-off. American Juniors premiered back in the summer of 2003 with solid ratings, but slowly slid and did not return for another cycle.
