As part of the networks continued push towards more original programming, Tony and Ridly Scott are bringing Michael Crichton’s 1969 bestseller The Andromeda Strain to A&E as a mini-series event.
The mini will go into production this summer, and will be executive produced by the Scott brothers, and David Zucker and Tom Thayer. Initial plans call for the series to be a four-hour event, with the possibility of it being extended to as much as six hours.
