TV Guide Channel Gets an Updated Name May 1, 2007 12:02 am

Well kind of. Beginning June 4, the TV Guide Channel will be going under the new slightly revised name of TV Guide Network.
The change is intended to show the networks emphasis away from just tv listings into a “more fully developed television guidance and entertainment network.”
“TV Guide Network is on the rise, and our new name better reflects our business today as we have evolved to become a TV destination with high-quality entertainment programming,” TV Guide Network president Ryan O’Hara said. “Over the past 18-24 months, we have greenlit productions, launched new shows and orchestrated deals that define our network as the ideal source for entertainment, news and information for fans of television.”
