Mathew Fox Cast as Racer X in “Speed Racer” April 20, 2007 7:22 pm

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mathew Fox (Lost) has been cast to star in the Wachowski brothers’ upcoming film Speed Racer.
Fox was star as Speed’s racing rival Racer X, joining already cast Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer), Christina Ricci (Trixie), and Susan Sarandon and John Goodman (Parents).
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Matthew Fox has signed on to play Racer X in the upcoming Wachowski brothers live action film, Speed Racer. Fox will join Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman in the cast.
Hollywood Reporter also reports that Kick Gurry is currently in negotiations for the part of Spark, Speed’s mechanic.
Speed Racer hits theaters on May 9, 2008.
