Coming up on its season finale, NBC gave the freshman series Friday Night Lights a vote of approval, ordering an additional six scripts of the critically praised, but viewer deprived series.

This is the second NBC series on the bubble to receive an additional script order (Medium received one on Monday) and strengthens the chances for a second season of the series.

Are the new scripts for next season? Does this mean a tentative renewal…Sure hope so. Wish they had ordered 13 more. Grat TV and the cast is brillaint…specially Kyle and Connie. a real cut above typical series fare.

They would be for next season. There hasn’t been a commitment to produce the scripts. NBC most likely just wants to see what the creators have in mind.

And I agree with you about the show. The cast is perfectly cast and it’s an amazing series.

[…] renewal of the show will be known within about a months time.  Hopefully the decision by NBC to order additional scripts bodes well for the future of this great drama […]
