The World Poker Tour has found a new home, moving from the Travel Channel (where it was for five years) to the Game Show Network.
It is a one-year deal.
In the deal, GSN will pay nearly $7 million for 23 two-hour episodes (approximately $300,000/episode). In addition, if the show performs at agreed-upon ratings benchmarks, there could be a $20-$35 thousand bonus per-episode. GSN also has an option for two more years of WPT programming.
The programing will not interfere with the networks other poker related series High Stakes Poker, which was recently renewed for another season.
