Fox confirmed today via press release that next week’s guest star will be Tony Bennett.
Bennett will help the nine remaining finalists (Chris Sligh was eliminated on Wednesday) on Tuesday’s show (April 3) and he will perform live the following evening during the results show.
The theme for the week will be American Classics. The nine remaining finalists are Melinda Doolittle, Gina Glocksen, LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis, Sanjaya Malakar, Chris Richardson, Haley Scarnato, Jordin Sparks and Phil Stacey.
American Idol will air from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 3 and from 9:00-9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.
