Extras creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have declined an offer to do a third season of the comedy series.
Instead, the duo will create a special finale for the series, similar to what they did with The Office.
“We don’t have a date or any details about the cast yet,” a spokeswoman for Gervais told the BBC, adding that the idea was in its “very, very early” stages.
