Extra has been renewed for three more seasons, taking the show through the 2009-10 season.

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution announced that they have renewed the syndicated news magazine Extra for three additional years. The studio has also signed hosts Dayna Devon and Mark McGrath to multi-year deals.

Currently in its 13th season, the extension will bring the show through its 16th season.  It is the second longest-running entertainment news magazine in syndication, behind CBS Paramount’s Entertainment Tonight.

The program has been cleared in more than 95% of the nation.”For more than a dozen years, ‘Extra’ has consistently provided first-rate entertainment journalism and compelling stories along with impressive ratings,” WBDTD president Ken Werner said.

It’s currently averaging a 2.2 household rating, relatively flat from last season’s average up to this point (2.3).
