Katie Holmes’ character has been recast for Batman: The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins.
According to Latino Review, Katie Holmes will not be back in The Dark Knight, despite the fact that the character she portrayed in Batman Begins, Rachel Dawes, will be appearing in the film.
It’s not immedietly clear why she is not going to reprise her role, whether its because she has decided to opt out or if the producers decided against having her return, though Variety is reporting that the actress bowed out to take a role in the Queen Latifah pic Mad Money.
